Job description
We are a family-run vineyard at Funen in Denmark looking for a Wine Grower, who could start
February 2023.
We can offer attractive working conditions, a good salary, and housing next to the vineyard.
Areas of work and responsibility
The Wine Grower’s main areas of responsibility are to cultivate the vineyard and assist with
tasks in the cellar (the latter when the time allows). The work includes winter pruning, binding
down, pinching, canopy management, green harvest, and harvest. The job will also include
assisting with cellar work, e.g., bottling and labeling. The work is carried out in cooperation
with the winemaker, the owners of the vineyard, and seasonal workers.
Skills required
You have minimum 3 years of experience as a wine grower and an education in vine pruning
e.g. from Simonit & Sirch.
About Stokkebye Vineyard
Stokkebye is among the biggest vineyards in Denmark with 6 HA vineyards. The annual
production of bottles is 15,000 rising to 23-24,000 in a few years. The focus is on the
production of sparkling wine and white wine made by mainly Pinot Noir and Solaris. Vintage
2022 is certified organic. Stokkebye wine is in the top of Danish wine and is sold to Michelin Star- and gourmet restaurants in the Nordic countries and France.
