I freddi tardivi ed una primavera che stenta a decollare caratterizzano questo inizio dell’annata 2021. Anche dove non si registrano danni da gelo il germogliamento non è molto omogeneo.
Da queste parti il Sangiovese si trova per lo più tra la 4a e la 6a foglia distesa. Ma si trovano ancora piante con 2 o 3 foglie visibili.
Aspettiamo che le temperature si portino sulle medie per far esprimere le piante al meglio.

The late cold and a Spring which is struggling to take off describe this early 2021 vintage. Even where frost damage is not present, the budding is not very even/homogenous.
In these parts, Sangiovese is mostly found to be between the 4th and 6th distal leaf. Yet there are still plants which only have their 2nd or 3rd leaf visible.
We are waiting for the temperatures to reach an average in order for the plants to express themselves and develop as best they can.

Le temperature sono ancora incerte, con giornate fresche alternate ai primi tepori primaverili : clima molto variabile, dunque.
L’ accrescimento dei germogli appare in deciso ritardo, anche nelle piante in allevamento.

The temperatures are still uncertain, with alternating cool and warm days early in Spring, therefore a very variable climate.
The shoot development appears to be delayed, as well as in the young developing plants.
