Tuscany – Vinci (Florence)
The frost has hit the Sangiovese, Colorino as well as the Syrah, on both the Spurred Cordon and Guyot systems.
We are starting to see the vegetative growth restarting with new shoot growth. We still have to wait to understand the state of the lateral buds. In some cases the lateral bud was also damaged due to the low temperatures. Here we will try and recover some shoots which have developed from the trunk in good positions. Objective: to maintain the structure/configuration of the plants.
