Marc Biberent says Omega graft (used by all the nurseries to produce bare-rotted plants) results in increased plant susceptibility to trunk diseases, because of the tissues laceration bring a necrosis that affect a good vascularization. Split graft or duble-split graft is a better techniques.
He says Chip bud and T-bud is the most respectful for plant tissues. In his opinion there is no noticeable presence of necrotic wood in the grafting point and, consequently, there is absence of fungi. Opposite than it is observed in plants grafted with split\omega graft.
